THE CITY

Until recently, no one would have mentioned urban chic and Sheffield in the same sentence, but as the last of the great northern cities to go through a huge transformation, including a planned shining new retail quarter, which starts development in the spring, the city is certainly ‘on the up’.

Within its boundaries, the image of the industrial era is fading fast and the city is busy transforming itself into a lively 24 hour commercial metropolis. Newly developed areas offer easy access to buzzing streets, restaurants, café bars, clubs, cool boutiques, shopping piazza’s and upmarket fitness and leisure suites. All this is surrounded by green parkland and is within twenty minutes drive of the second most popular national park in the world.
