ABOUT
V1
This revolutionary new urban village
located in the heart of Sheffield will pioneer modern
architecture in the city. VI avoids any pretension to
traditional domestic architecture; covering 2.5 acres, and
standing 8 to 11 storeys high, the design of the building will
provide a contrast to the dominant red brick culture, dotted
around the city.
Built of acid washed concrete but mostly
faced in steel and glass, think - sparkling white ‘Le
Corbusier’ style, shining in the sun brightening up the
landscape in an area due a little aesthetic value - this will be
one of the largest mixed use developments in Yorkshire.
It has some great feature’s, the
balconies on the principal south facing elevations are enclosed
by green solar glass louvers, known as ‘sunboxes’, allowing
the space to be used as an open balcony in summer or enclosed to
the elements in winter.
